About Carrus
THE ONLY CONSTANT IN LIFE IS CHANGE (Heraclitus)
Lateral entrants out of passion
Starting out in the travel industry, I was able to work for SWISS as a Manager Partnership Marketing and Sponsoring, I gained my first management experience. In 2008, I moved to Credit Suisse as Head of Client & Corporate Events. Leading a team in a large corporation like CS was extremely demanding and highly characterised. During this time, I also realised how important good communication is at management level; I completed a Master’s degree in Business Communications while working.
In 2011, my father fell seriously ill and I took over the family business “Matthys Immobilien” as CEO. Because it is important to me to keep up to date with the latest theoretical developments, I completed a Master’s degree in Real Estate Management at the same time. After four years, the relevant course was set and the company was on track so that I could outsource all operational activities and only the strategic tasks remained. This enabled me to move to the Hallenstadion as Deputy Director in 2015. At the beginning of 2018, I ventured another change of industry and took over the management of Gübelin Jewellers in Zurich, where I was able to further develop my skills in the area of business management.

The journey leads to the destination
These varied experiences have shaped and moulded me; I have developed a profound understanding of various industries and markets and familiarised myself with the specific requirements and dynamics. I was also able to build up a very broad network as a result.
In my private life, it’s important for me to socialise with other people, whether it’s hiking or playing golf, getting involved with the Rotary Club or the Swissair Children’s Aid Foundation.
Foundation of Carrus GmbH
For some time now, I have realised that I would like to pass on the valuable knowledge and skills I have acquired to people who are looking for a change in their professional career and would like to be accompanied in their reorientation.
Back in 2010, I started career coaching on a part-time basis to help people achieve their professional goals and realise their full potential. In January 2022, I decided to turn my hobby into a career and founded Carrus GmbH; Carrus is the Latin root word for career;
Carrus is not only about planning career paths, but also about discovering and promoting personal strengths and talents. My aim is to empower managers to find their own way and realise their full professional potential.
Further training is still an important career driver for me. I am currently on my way to becoming a company mentor and have already completed the “resource-orientated coaching” and “solution-orientated coaching” modules.
I also work as a lecturer for management specialists with a federal certificate at the Five. . business school; This means I always have my finger on the pulse of the times and know what drives and challenges today’s managers;
